Detroit: The 2012 North American International Auto Show is here. LINCOLN had the honor of introducing their 2013 MKZ Concept, ready to hit Laird Noller Topeka in Topeka, Kansas later this year.
This concept is not an exact representation of a production model, it gives us hints to what the 2013 sedan will look like. With a narrow, slightly longer wheelbase, this mid-size sedan features large chrome grill, with less intense angles than current LINCOLN vehicles.
LINCOLN has taken on the mission to separate itself from their parent company. Models plan to be significantly different from those of its fellow auto maker.
"This is what the future of LINCOLN looks like," said Max Wolff, LINCOLN's director of design. MKZ is the first of seven new / reworked vehicles promised by 2014. "It's clean, expressive and signals the direction we're going to take the brand in the next two years."1
While a production version is headed to dealerships, there has been no official pricing announced. Keep in mind that current MKZ sedans start at mid-$30,000's - expect a similar MSRP later next year.
